Monica Deac is a contemporary Canadian artist on a mission to promote wellness, balance and total harmony with nature.
As an artist and formally trained as a Psychiatric Occupational Therapist, Monica quickly noticed the transformative power of art and started to incorporate art into the healing process. For her, making or experiencing art is an act of mindful meditation leading to stress reduction, skill development, sense of achievement and many other wonderful benefits. Neuroscience provides evidence that creating or experiencing art regularly makes your brain healthier and your life longer.

Abstract in nature, her paintings are inspired by untamed, powerful landscapes that remind us how small, yet so powerful we are as humans in the face of the wild. Her work takes you deep into a microscopic world of a tree trunk or high up into an aerial view of the majestic mountains.

As an ambassador of wellness and mental health balance, Deac considers that human connection to nature is the utmost importance. Her works capture stories that inspire humans to consider their relationship with nature.
What first started as a hobby back in her childhood when she quickly learned how to discover the magic of nature, has now evolved into a world class fine art collection of images.
When she is not painting, Monica is happiest spending her time with her husband Mirel raising their son Lucas in her hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia.
