The infinite eyes of a Harpy Eagle reflect the jungle and its deepest secrets. Commonly known as the Lady of the Monkeys, Harpy Eagles are the biggest birds from the Amazon. They occupy their place in different mythologies as characters that impose respect because of their incredible strength. Harpy Eagles are endangered animals; in this piece, Monsalve touches also on the ecological crisis that the southern forests are going through. Confronting the viewer with a static stare this eagle calls for attention to be given to the planet and recognize our roll in it.
