DEFINITELY DALI 2017 – DANCE OF TIME

To celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary, Chali-Rosso Art Gallery brought a spectacular gift to Vancouver in the form of a magnificent, iconic, bronze, Salvador Dali sculpture.  The sculpture, titled Dance of Time, is on display in a public space, for all to enjoy, for 150 days in 2017. This sculpture is part of the Definitely Dali project, presented by the Chali-Rosso Gallery, and provides Vancouver residents unrestricted access to one of the most iconic sculptures of the Modern Masters.
The nearly 7 feet tall and 860 lb sculpture is on loan from the Stratton Institute and will be exhibited from May to September 2017, in the Heritage District Downtown Vancouver, at Hornby and West Hastings Street. The official public unveiling took place at this location on 6th of May.
An additional 21 gallery size Dali sculptures are exhibited in the Chali-Rosso Art Gallery's Howe Street location.

THE DEFINITELY DALÍ PROJECT

The annual Definitely Dalí Project has grown in momentum since Chali-Rosso Art Gallery had their first Salvador Dalí sculpture exhibition in 2014. As part of the Canada 150 celebrations in Vancouver, the gallery will kick off this year’s exhibition with a very special event. Beginning on May 6th and for the next 150 days, the residents and guests of the city of Vancouver will have the opportunity to freely enjoy the iconic masterpiece by Salvador Dalí titled the Dance of Time I. For the first time in Canada, this awe inspiring work of art will be unveiled at Lot 19, in the unique public park space on West Hastings, at the foot of Hornby Street. To compliment the 7 foot tall installation, just a few steps away, the Chali-Rosso Art Gallery will host a free exhibition of 21 gallery sized sculptures and fine art by Salvador Dalí, as well as other historic European artists including Picasso, Chagall, Miro and Matisse.

HAPPY CANADA150 FROM CHALI-ROSSO ART GALLERY!
