Chali-Rosso Art Gallery is very excited to present a collections of spectacular sculptures to Vancouver. Two large-scale original Salvador Dali sculptures are placed on public display for the enjoyment of all residents and guests to the city. One of the new sculptures, Woman Aflame, stands tall at nearly 12 feet, 3.60 meters high and takes the place of Dance of Time, the iconic melting clock which stood at the entrance to Lot 19 in 2017.

The magnificent, 2.5 million dollar Woman Aflame, is exhibited in the Downtown Vancouver Heritage District, at Lot 19 Public Space, at Hornby and West Hastings Street. From May to September, Vancouver residents and visitors have unrestricted access to one of the most iconic sculptures of the Modern Masters. This year, the Definitely Dali Exhibition spread out over multiple locations. While Woman Aflame is being placed at Lot 19, another large scale sculpture, the majestic Surrealist Piano, is available for viewing inside Chali-Rosso Art Gallery, as well as additional locations to be announced in the coming weeks. Both sculptures are the cornerstones of our annual Definitely Dali exhibition which features over 100 original works of art by the legendary Surrealist Master, including 20 gallery size bronze sculptures. On exhibition in the gallery, you also find an exceptional collection of works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
For the duration of the “Definitely Dali project”, public donations received, as well as a percentage of Chali-Rosso Art Gallery sales will go to Arts Umbrella, a non-profit arts education centre for young people.

THE DEFINITELY DALÍ PROJECT
The annual Definitely Dalí Project has grown in momentum since Chali-Rosso Art Gallery had their first Salvador Dalí sculpture exhibition in 2014. The gallery will kick off this year’s exhibition with a very special event. From May 5th till September, Vancouverites and visitors of the city will have the opportunity to freely enjoy the iconic masterpiece by Salvador Dalí titled the Woman Aflame. This awe inspiring work of art will be unveiled at Lot 19, in the unique public space on West Hastings, at the foot of Hornby Street. To compliment the almost 12 foot tall installation, just a few steps away, Chali-Rosso Art Gallery will host another large-scale sculpture, the Surrealist Piano, and a free exhibition of over 20 gallery sized sculptures and fine art by Salvador Dalí, as well as other historic European artists including Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Matisse, Warhol and Lichtenstein.
