During the few days I spent in Delft, I felt like I was enchanted. There are no asphalt roads in the whole town, it’s all beautifully paved with stone or brick.  As I wandered the streets of  the old town, I was suddenly overcome with this absolutely wonderful feeling that time had stopped.  It is so quiet and peaceful.  I felt compelled to create this oil painting to capture my feelings towards Delft and relive them once I returned home.
