Unicorn is a print that works as a tribute to the influence of western mythologies in Monsalve´s work. Being an enthusiast of literature Carlos Monsalve has developed a reading practice as a research methodology. Reading as much literature from all over the world and studying mythologies from different latitudes he has created his own constellations of references where he borrows. In this case, the image of a unicorn a magical animal found throughout history is brought in to his southern forest. The image becomes a hybridization of narratives that opens itself up for an intercultural conversation.
