Irises, among Claude Monet's (French, 1840–1926) favorite flowers, lined the pathways leading up to the house and Japanese bridge on the artist's property at Giverny. The Path through the Irises (1914–17) belongs to a series of monumental works he painted during the World War I. Our shawl design highlights a detail from this Impressionist masterpiece.
